This incorrect permission has been observed on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, but AUM on any prior Mac OS versions can also run into this issue if for some reason admin group doesn’t have write permission on “/Library/Application Support/Adobe”. Apple Disk Utility's 'Repair Disk Permissions' function does not correct this problem, which is why the above command line correction is required under these circumstances. Incorrect permissions are set for /Library/Application Support/Adobe during installation on some machines.
